Now that it is over and done with how do you think Vince Young feels about the Titans? Im sure he was happy to go at #3 but lets think about this situation.

We know he respects and appreciates McNair and Im really curious as to what VY's opinion about the whole situation with McNair is. If I were VY and I saw the guy I was going to be learning from being treated like McNair is at the moment Im not sure I would be too thrilled to be a Titan. I mean McNair did so much for the organization even if he isnt the best QB in the world and I cant believe how the organization is supposably treating him at this point in his career.

On top of that Im sure they expect him to bring up Young but why would he be ecstatic about doing that after the way he has been treated. I would be a little worried if I were Young, but thats just me. Hopefully that organization wont make two mistakes with two key players.

Im just throwing this up to see what people's opinions are on the subject so dont bash me too much, Im just a newbie :)

I actually physically followed the Oilers to Memphis and then to Nashville, so I still have many friends close to the franchise (I used to work out with thier line coach Mike Munchak back in the day - I'm an ex-powerlifter). McNair and Young have been great friends from way back (Young used to attend McNair's football camp.... c-below) and they have a great relationship. I can see McNair wanting to mentor Young. This shouldn't be any issue imo. I think Young is going to be a superstar in the NFL.

Wow now with the rumor that McNair is on the outs within the next couple of days this is really going to come into play. If the Titans really trade of release McNair and just expect VY to play they have no brains.

If they knew they were going to release McNair they should have just drafted Leinhart since everyone knows that VY is definately a project.

He will be plenty happy. Nashville is a Titans town. Everywhere you go in Nashville, there is Titans gear. The weather is nice, the stadium is relatively new, and he won't owe state taxes on his signing bonus.

I think McNair will be kept, but regardless, I'm sure Young wants to PLAY and not sit on the bench.

What I mean is how the Titans are treating McNair after all the he has done for that organization, if I were Vince Young I would be scared of the organization treating me the same way down the line.

I dont think VY will be able to come in right away and be there starter. Volek will proably get the starts if Mcnair is gone.

I've always liked Young. Will be fun to see what he brings to the table in the NFL.

I dont think seeing how McNair sitation has been handled will put a damper on Young being drafted there. All players know its a buisness first..I mean look at the Niner greats that finished their careers elsewhere. It happens.

Best sitation for Young would be McNair coming back and Young sitting a year and learning from him.

I concur. Volek showed he can play 2 years ago. He and Bennett played very well together.
