Interesting, that obviously means he will be the starting QB, so you're right. What happens with Young?
Who cares? He'll probably retire or commit suicide.

NASHVILLE, TENN. -- The Titans are bringing back the quarterback that led them to the NFL's best record during the 2008 regular season. Veteran Kerry Collins has agreed to terms on a contract to re-sign with Tennessee, the team announced Friday.

Without Haynesworth and Schwartz, Collins is going to have to play a lot better next year for the Titans to continue their success.

Young will just have to sit on the bench and continue to be groomed.

They'll probably continue to develop him for a while I'm assuming. One thing is for certain, his image has been tarnished and he needs to really work hard to get back into the limelight.

Michael bishop played well one year in the AFL but that was because he was a running QB and he gained a grip of yards on the ground. The next year he got lit up and didn't do anything since...VY similar fate if the AFL does resume next year and he does go to the AFL...

I'm not as surprised that they re-signed him, as much as I am the reported contract terms.
a two-year, $15 million contract with $8.5 million guaranteed.
No way will the Titans pay that much to Collins and keep Young.
And that is a lot of money for a QB who really put up poor numbers, even if he did win a lot of games.

Sadly, not far from the truth.

I really don't think it's alot considering that Warner is looking at twice that much due to his awesome stats... It's a contract that tenn can easily live with and that Collins feels reassured that he is the starter going into next year...I do agree his stats weren't that great last year but that was with him taken the starting position. I think they will get him some help at WR and he gets more practice snaps going into this season so I expect respectable numbers next year...
