Seahawks signed DT Colin Cole to a five-year contract.
Cole was a productive Packers sub for the last four years, averaging 30 tackles a season with four sacks. At 6'1/330 he has the bulk to run plug, but Cole will likely be an every-down player in Seattle. He has no experience in a full-time role and turns 29 in June. The Seahawks likely paid a premium.

Probably wont amount to much.

Packers are switching to a 34 and they showed no interest in retaining him so how much of a plugger can he be?

Seattle has some big bodies with him, Mebane and Red Bryant.

Another viable option at 330 plus pound gone! Niners management must over-value the 7-9 team and players the Niners have currently on their roster

means they're out of the race for signing Canty

but I haven't heard much about us still going after him since Friday

Canty will have enough money thrown at him from Tenn and even New York..

While I admittedly don't know a lot about Cole and am consequently indifferent about the signing, you're incorrect on the Packers showing no interest to retain him.

The Green Bay Packers' top priority between now and the start of the unrestricted free-agent signing period at 11:01 p.m. Thursday is the re-signing of defensive lineman Colin Cole.

Looks like he signed a 5 year deal worth $21M with less than a quarter of it guaranteed.
