What is it REALLY about???

Ok, everyone Whero is breaking into a new area. Starting the Topic... ooo this should be interesting. No not really I just want people's basic opinion.

Why do you go to the Forty Niner's Message Board???

A. You want to state your opinion to gain respect for yourself and the team.

B. You want to know how the team is doing, and what the others think about the direction of the team week to week.

C. You want to defend your team from outside members that want to bash the Niners.

D. Do you want to state why the team is going to win, no ifs, ands, buts abou it.



For me the reason is B. I like to hear debates on why people think were in a good direction or if we are headed to another disaster season.

I know a lot are wanting respect. So we post threads about how someone is or isn't giving us respect.

Some people just know the their team is going to win and they want to state their case.

And there are people that want to attack the people, that want to talk trash on our threads. And sometimes those are the most fun tooo tell you the truth.

I just want to know your opinion. Of why we spend some much time on this Message Board. And if you have are reason that is not listed, then just give it. And I know by starting a thread I'm going to have some critism, but that's how it goes.

I would say B as well. I love the debates that go on here and is fresh compared to the dull stuff i hear around where i live... Bears this Packers that... Us Niners fans are in my opinion on a higher level then Da Bears and dem der Packers fans.

I originally joined after the 2002 playoff game vs. the Giants to see what other fans were saying about the game.. Browsed around for a bit.. Met some cool people and ended up sticking around..

I like the response about enjoying a sense of community with other 49er fans. At least, I presume the writer meant 49er fans; he could have meant a more extended family, like FOOTBALL community (NFL).

The 49ers MB affords fans diverse choices: 49ers, NFL, Sports, Other topics of discussion. (I didn't look up the appropriate titles of each segment, but I think you follow my line of thought.)

I mainly post on the first 2 segments (Red Zone and GoldMine) because I am not a football fan, but a 49ers Fan. I am a fan who is interested in the individuals on the team and their coaches. My only concern with other teams is how our 49er Team will match up against them.

This MB is an excellent forum for intelligent discussions about the intricacies of football as encountered by our favorite team, the SF 49ers. All my spare time and efforts go into learning about our players and coaches and how football impacts them (or vice versa). My aim is to get to know our guys and watch them improve as a team and separately.
