Ok guys here is the link to the pictures of the leaked toy truck (had this on the old Lion's thread - but giving this more exposure to people by startin a new thread)

Not bad at all - I like their new corporate logo, and the touch up job on the helmet logo was done tastefully

Dear god, that second one is the most hideous thing I've ever seen.
Ever?! How can you discount the old Bronco, Bucs or Pats logos?

What! You don't like Pat Patriot? LOL
It's a great marketing tool to have a new logo with new beginings. Everybody here in N.E. buys both logo's on everything from hats, to shirts, jackets. It's a smart move.
Hell the new logo should have Matt Millen being trampled underfoot!

Well, the new Lions uniforms aren’t all that much different than the old ones.
The disclosure comes from this link that a reader forwarded to us. The fact that the logo and the design of the team name matches the same logo and name design appearing on the toy tractor-trailer that inadvertently was posted on NFLShop.com suggests that the supposed page from an NFL style sheet is legit.
Beyond the revised logo, the biggest change appears to be the shape of the numerals.
All in all, however, the uniform looks to the be pretty much the same.

Those old logos had personality and character.
Now they all look like they came from the same computer image!

I like their new logo fine, but the old "colony dude set for a snap" was hardly riveting

Haha, too funny. Funny thing is, it looks like a "re-boot" logo, not a "re-make". In other words, it doesn't look drastically different to me.

I like the updated version of Bubbles, but the second logo just looks worse and worse every time I look at it. It looks like a Care Bears villain.
wait, so they're the Lions Detroit now, not the Detroit Lions?

Nice. Detwhat would be the top selling gear in the NFL if they did that.

Looks like something that would be in the NBA
The updated decal on the side of the helmet looks a lot better. But not the main image in the second photo. I don't like it at all.

I don't think the new Lion looks that bad it just doesn't fit with the rest of the current NFL logos. It looks like a hockey logo, or one of those logos you get in video games when you create a team from scratch.

It reminds of those too. But I also looks like a lot college logos.

Also heard the Lions are changing the game rules for all their games this season, and also recently signed a new playmaker....

Because recent college grad marketing majors think they know better than football people, and they have the Ford family's ear. I'm sure there were a lot of charts and graphs involved with this decision.

Don't forget the 4 foot nothing pinhead and his overwrought female co-presenter "Yay Lions" presentation on how sales profit margins increased after the Broncos and Buccaneers threw away tradition and made the same drastic logo changes.

Corporate America. They'd find a way to integrate a Bud Light logo into the uniform scheme if the league let them. Let's hope Jerry Jones never becomes commissioner!

Jerry likes to pat himself on the back for making the NFL the success it is today! We all know before Jerry purchased the Cowboys the league was barely surviving.
He also credits himself for making the Cowboys America's Team. I personally look forward to Jerry running the show in Dallas again, and we should all look forward to ESPN's draft day "War Room" cam focused on Jerry making tough decisions every 10-15 minutes.

its only a matter of time before on-uniform sponsorships are a reality. im not that opposed to it, but then again, i like football AND football.

I remember when I was a kid I used to get confused with the Lion logo because of the little dot and where the paw was.
http://www.realclearsports.com/blog/Lions%20logo.gif
I always used to think the little dot was an eye and the paws were jaws of a mouth, I thought wow thats ugly as ****.....keep in mind i was a little kid...then I got where the lion was and still thought it was poorly developed to be a logo.
LOL, a logo is meant to be clear....so its goood that they cleared it up, now it looks like a lion.

It doesn't make sense. What's the with ghetto looking "L"!? That doesn't belong with the lion. So out of place. I think they saw that "L" spray-painted on a wall and copied it.
49ers
03-30-2009, 06:22 PM
The L is the back part of the lion.
Oh yeah I didn't notice that. REP!
whats up with the "L" doesnt match with the rest of the text.
also, the lions is facing sideways kinda but the nose is like on its side, so it looks distorted....
just horrible, that would suck if lions got that
The L is the back part of the lion.
Agree with everything else. Horrible.

That first one is what was leaked on the NFLShop.
That second picture was made by a fan for a fan contest in the newspaper. It not the new Lions logo or anything. Just a fan concept contest
