He wasn't traded to the 49ers so he's unhappy. I understand.

Jesus, what a freaking tool.
Wow. So after whining like a little ***** and telling his agent to request a trade, they call his pseudo-bluff and now all of a sudden, he didn't really want to get traded?
More like, "Um, I just realized I'm going from Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal to Brandon Lloyd and Rashied Davis behind a line that gave up more than twice as many sacks, so uh... I was just foolin'. Ha-ha, good one, Pat. Pat? Mr. Bowlen? Josh? Hello???"
How long until he tells Lovie Smith he never really wanted to be in Chicago, so he's not going to play for him?
In fairness, he actually made this statement yesterday before he knew what team he was going but I definitely agree that making this statement at all makes him look like a tool. It seems like he is doing a really bad job of trying to make him self look like the victim no matter what happens.

all of sudden DA BEARS got really good
He made the statement before he was traded.....which doesn't necessarily mean it made him look worse for him saying that, but still

"I was surprised they decided to trade me this soon," Cutler told FoxSports. "I didn't want to get traded. That wasn't me. They had been going back and forth saying things, wanting me to be their quarterback, and then they didn't. I really didn't want this. I love Denver. I really like my teammates. I didn't want it to get this far."
Cutler's comments indicated he had calmed considerably since formally issuing a trade request to the Broncos on March 16.
Bowlen said through a statement Tuesday the Broncos would begin discussions to accommodate Cutler's trade request after "numerous attempts to contact Jay Cutler in the last 10 days, both by head coach Josh McDaniels and myself, have been unsuccessful."
Cutler has denied receiving phone calls from McDaniels or Bowlen in recent days.

can u blame him? I'm seeing 40 sacks this yr and maybe 18 tds 13 ints. this honeslty imo doesn't make the bears that good. as it would have other teams like the lions.

Well that's what he gets for acting like a lil baby. Orton's stats weren't all that bad considering the line he was playing behind and the receivers he had to throw to. But, I do think Cutler will improve the Bears and we may see a Cutler/Hester tandem forming. It's all speculation now, either way Cutler really did look like a jack*** during this whole thing.

I still put full blame on mcdaniels. all he had to say was your my qb of the future. but couldn't get past saying ur my qb for now. who would wanna play for a coach that doesn't want him.

I read the quote as in, he never wanted to be traded from the getgo. I think he was expecting everything to be repaired when they went into that initial meeting to clear the air and only after it wasn't did he demand a trade.
Keep things in context people.

You're asking too much. Especially since he didn't get traded to the Niners.
It's bad enough when fans do it, but media tools like Tom Curran and Gregg Doyel have no excuse to blogging this crap.

It's possible the new GM and HC wanted to get rid of of Cutler from the get go. They did go after Cassel early on, because they wanted their guy. Cutler ended up giving them the perfect excuse to trade him. They got great value for him too.
In the long run, I think this will benefit Denver more then Chicago. They are in a strong position to trade up this year into the top 10 now, and grab Sanchez. They can develop him into the QB they want instead of fighting someone who won't listen. Which sucks for us.
I guess it will all depend on what they do with the picks they got.

40 sacks given up by the Bears offensive line? You must be joking. Cutler was sacked only 11 times last season, and yes that Broncos line was marvelous, but let's give Cutler some credit. He has good pocket awareness.

Cutler is a cannon on wheels.
Just don't mention the words "trade in" and he's fine
