I'm guessing that now denver will want to draft a QB, and it will probably be sanchez as he fits mcdaniels system, so with their multiple picks they can trade up with someone like seattle, and take sanchez, which in my opinion will ruin our draft as I think it is sanchez we are planning on going for. opinions?

Assuming Denver wants Sanchez (and instinct tells me they do)...

If Sanchez is in our plans, we won't move. But we're not going to trade up for him either.

If Sanchez is NOT in our sights, it's very possible the Broncos will try and trade up to us or even possibly Seattle/KC to draft him.

I'm not sure how much in the fold we are though....like I said, if Denver really wants him, they will likely try and trade up to the first team that COULD take him and IMO, that team is Seattle, although I think they're a lower risk for that than we are.

Detroit could blow the whole thing to hell and draft Sanchez first, but I have a feeling they'll go Stafford or LT.

If we're NOT interested in him, why would Denver trade up 2 spots for him when they could get him at 12...?

If Raji drops to the #10 spot we take him. No questions asked. Dude can smoke a bowl every day as long as he shows up ready to play on game time.

In the off chance that Denver does want to move up for Dirty Sanchez...We trade our #10 for their #12 and the Chicago pick.

McCloughan: "We want Sanchez. You want Sanchez. If you REALLY want him, give us your two 1st rounders and it's a done deal. Otherwise we're picking him at #10. Samurai, show em we mean business."

Singletary then drops his drawers and stares down the Denver draft table from across the room.

Xanders would be too intimidated to say no.

We are in a great position to draft BPA. If Sanchez is there, we will probably take him if Oher or A Smith aren't there. If he's gone, we take the best OT, DE/DT(Raji), Wouldn't mind Jenkins either at FS. If Den wantts to trade up for Sanchez then so be it, we are in a good position to trade down or take BPA.

I see the Cutler trade as good news for those of you who don't want Sanchez, and bad news for those of you who want Sanchez. I fully expect the Broncos to package those two 1st round picks and move up to the #5 or #6 spot (Cleveland or Cincinnati) and draft Sanchez.

I don't think denver is gonna draft a QB high, with Nate Davis available in the 3rd round or so, and also Kyle Orton has a career record of 21-12 (15-2 at home). Orton is a winner and I think denver made a smart deal, if McDaniels can get Cassel to play how he did he can do wonders with Orton. Everybody forgets Orton is Purdue's all-time leading passer ahead of Drew Brees and was in a pass offense at Purdue, he just wasnt in the right system in Chicago, but he still won games.

Next, I think if WR (Crabtree or Maclin) is there at 10 we pull the trigger, if not we go Defense BPA. Even though Bruce is back its only for 1 year prob. and our young guys are still wild cards, Crabtree will produce at the next level. I'm also a big fan of Ramses Barden and if we can go Defense 1st round and Barden 2nd I would be happy.

Orton's win/loss record has to be atleast somewhat credited to having a decent defense to help carry him. That's not the case as of now in Denver. Denver simply dropped the ball by creating this whole mess. They were one of the few teams in the league with a legit franchise QB. The fans and media will now automatically put any lack of success they have from this point on directly on the fact they lost Cutler. Orton has a career 71.1 QB rating. Compare that to Cutler's 87.1 career QB rating. Cutler is also a year younger than Orton and has 207 more pass attemps. The Broncos clearly took a step backwards.

I'd rather have a QB that wins! Orton might be a superbowl champ if the idiots in the FO didn't replace him that year in the NFC Championship with REX Grossman. The bears D has been suspect the last two years, and the borderline bad last year and Orton still went 9-7.

I agree. This Assumes Sanchez even gets past Seattle. If we want him, we might have to go out and get him. I'm not sure how motivated we are to do that. I don't even know if we would pick him at #10. I certainly would, but I don't count, lol.

Well, the good news is, its going to be an exciting draft!

I agree---Denver is going to run with Orton for a year and make an evaluation to take a QB next year---they should sit and fill in their other needs with the picks they have.

orton is not a good qb, most of those games he won were because of the defense. denver's defense is horrible. if they could keep teams under 22 points a game cutler would have a very nice looking win percentage. mcdaniels better be a genius when it comes to qb's if he wants to do anything with orton.

and this is coming from a guy who went to school with orton.

I'd say it has little bearing on how we draft.
