The ESPN retards think it's Beanie Wells, but that'd be a pretty big reach. I'll go with Vontae Davis. I think Alphonso Smith is the best CB in this draft, but Davis will likely go before him.

They need secondary and LB help but I'm going with Moreno. I dont think Bush can carry the ball 20+ times a game and Pierre Thomas is not that good IMO. They need to replace Mcallister.

They have 5 corners that are capable of competing for the starting spots. They need a safety more than a corner. Linebacker is a big need, and Peyton almost gave away that's what they were going to select on Path to the Draft one day.

Am I the only one that thinks Cushing is going to suffer a free fall in this draft?

Because he takes steroids?

Because he takes steroids?
That among these other things:
-Lacks a true position
-Is more injury prone than Jonas Jennings
-Maxed out
-Product of those around him and competition?
-The definition of workout warrior
-Sucks in pass coverage
-Not a huge demand for OLB's.
He overall looks very mediocre when you watch him. "Look like Tarzan, plays like Jane". The way I see it, if way more talented players that boast incredible production like Curtis Lofton and Dan Conner can fall, then Cushing BETTER. Frankly, I think all of those USC LB's are overrated and are mediocre at best. The only defender that I can see having a long lasting, productive career out of anyone on that defense in this draft is Moala. And even he is more of a value pick, than a truly great prospect.
If Cushing goes round 1, then that shows how bland this year's draft is.

Cushing was the MVP of the USC Defense last year. The best of the best. I thought he was very active in every game I saw.
Does he have a true position? He is a SAM, but they moved him around a lot. It would have been better for Cushing if they kept him at a specific position, but that's just how it worked out. His Sophomore year he played DE because of injuries on the DL. He started out ok, but steadily improved and ended up earning the Defensive MVP in the Rose Bowl. Next year they moved him back to OLB, and he played some ILB as well when Rey was hurt. He did whatever the coaches asked him to do, and produced. They loved him for it.
Whomever drafts him will determine where he will play and I expect him to really bloom. That's generally what happens when you provide continuity.
Worst case, they can move him around like USC did. Or this could be the best case, if they want to disguise their defensive alignments like the Patriots and Eagles like to do.
I see him as one of the more safer picks in the draft. I really like him, even though I don't expect we will draft him.

I think there's a very strong demand for OLB's, so Cushing and Matthews will both be overdrafted.

I agree, and also USC players always seem to get overdrafted
Rivers, Sam Baker, Lawrence Jackson, and some would also say Chilo Rachal from last year.
I think you could say that for some. I actually thought Rivers was a top 10 prospect. Don't ask me why, I just thought he was 100% legit. Sam Baker seemed like an RT and I thought he was a reach, but he proved me wrong on the position he played and played well despite being injured so much. Lawrence Jackson may have been one of the biggest reaches in the whole draft in my opinion. So far it has shown. He is completely non-existent. Was not a fan of him at all. I'd say Chilo was picked right where I expected. He was the top rated guard in the whole draft (excluding Albert who was moved to LT). If anything I thought he could have pushed for late 1st, as high as the Steelers.
This year I think Sanchez could be a legit top 10 pick. All three LB's and Moala look like 2nd rounders (at best) to me but I wouldn't be shocked to see all 3 LB's in the 1st. That doesn't bother me because that means 3 quality players could be pushed to our 2nd round pick because of it.
