I just dont see him helping out our team so much since we just signed Marvel Smith..

Marvel has history of back problems. His injury background is worse than Jennings was when we signed him. I think Oher will be a great addition and he and Staley can be mentored by Smith. You can never have to strong of an offensive or defensive line.

Watching this I seem to feel that this is the most likely scenario going through this weekend.

I'm really strating to think Singletary and Scotty Mac will what most people say is a reach and take Rey Maualuga, for a few reasons Scott said that he's looking at a 6'2'' 240-260 lbs pass rusher and Rey is the only one that fits the bill, Singletary being a former LB wants to make a statement, plus you can't over look the fact that Rey was coached by Ken Norton Jr and we have done nothing conventional this at all this off season...... go ahead and start flaming me

And if Marvel Smith goes down which is a good chance?

Usually the last 2 days leading up to the draft bring out the most probable conclusions, I'll be very **** happy to land Oher in the first, the guy is solid.

People sort of pan him off cause of his learning curve but I'm not too worried about that (he probably won't be worked into the system until mid-season, or the end of the year depending on Marvel's performance), the guy has the same level of fight Chilo Rachel has... and to have those two side by side would be one of the most intimidating right-sides in the division.

I agree and hope we go pass rusher, but I feel that this might be the way the draft goes, unless something drastic happens like a trade or something.

Dude, this is the big picture. Marvel Smith is a band-aid, not some "super cure" for that position (which is the worst on our line). Marvel's health/performance is not a sure thing, and we need quality talent at that position.

Smart teams that are entering new coaching cycles usually draft in favor of the o-line within the first 2 years (either in rounds one or two).

Yeah, and I remember Sing glued to Rey all through the USC workout like he wanted to immediately take Maualaga Home with him that day! -That's a wild-card.

I think our board will be set up like this: If all the players we wanted are gone by ten, we're trading up. -Scot has too much riding on his *** to just take a player because he has to (this grab the best guy stuff goes out the window the moment our window of expectations has been cracked).

In the division? In time, those two could be the most intimidating right side in the entire NFL.

Still, if the likes of a Curry, Orakpo, Andre Smith, Maclin or Crabtree falls, an interesting decision would have to be made.

oh no doubt.....I also think that Scott might try to move to 8 if Mark Sanchez is there.....if not then he will probably stay at 10 and take a so called safe pick with Oher or roll the dice and reach on Rey Maualaga....I do feel that an interior with Rey and Willis would be sick for years to come, then if we can land Brace in the 2nd

Agreed it is a safe pick, especially for Scotty who is kind of on the hot seat this year.

But I dont think the Niners would have signed Marvel Smith if he was THAT much of a risk. Especially after the Jonas Jennings ordeal.

If Smith goes down, worst case scenario Snyder fills in.

I'm feeling that too, in fact I have an eerie feeling that the Jags will land Sanchez at 8, we'll land Crabtree at 10, and in result exchange picks with eachother (cause the Jags have clearly stated on their website their official "lack of interest" in him, and they're eyeballing Crabtree more than anybody).

But if this happened, what we'll do with Sanchez is very cloudy, and full of endless scenarios.
like SD and the Giants did with Eli and Rivers a few years back. I can see that, Sanchez is going to be something special.

if we don't know yet what will happen, how can we decide what is "most realistic"...

realistically, a lot of things can happen
