No. But posting stuff where they actually should be is.

That would be a nice draft too! Mays would be a great addition but will probably be taken very high.

Yea I see no reason we would do any worse than last year, but it's not like we've proven we can come out of our slump yet.

I think this is a good topic for this time of season. First we are the only team with 2 picks in what might be the strongest draft in 25 years. And second, the only other thing to talk about is free agents. I really like Lawson and hope he does well, however if we don’t get the pressure we need we will be looking at George Selvie. I like MT. Cody and Mays at safety.

The Fox mock has the 49ers as the 5th worst team and the Panthers as the 13th best? Not buying it.

I'd be ***** ecstatic if we managed to pick him up.

If this was how it fell, I'd rather take Eric Berry at 5 and Sergio Kindle at 19. Our defense would be unstoppable.

If Berry is there when we make our first pick, we better get him. He's a once in a generation type player and would make our defense even scarier.

Eric Berry. I accept no other substitutes.

I think Berry has a pretty good chance to be considered the greatest safety ever in 20 years.

That list is a joke. Terrence Cody at 2? He's not even close to a complete DT. Mays at third is silly, he's the third safety on my list, and not too far ahead of Davonte Shannon. Brandon LaFell as the top receiver is silly in a class that includes Dez Bryant, Arrelious Benn, and Damian Williams. No Gerald McCoy? This list is full of suck.

Seriously, talking about Jahvid Best is enough to make one vomit.
It wasn't enough to waste one high pick on a receiver, now you want to do it again? The very next year, no less?

I am looking for us to hopefully get Colt Mccoy, i like him as a QB i think he got that IT Factor...he can play and hes got the look.....unlike Bradford, i hope bradford doesnt go to us also he can play but doesnt have that feature.

Terrence Cody, Alabama
Boo Robinson, Wake Forest
Kellen Heard, Texas A&M
All are on my "NT" radar.

Kellen Heard, Texas A&M
I mistook him for a senior this draft class...however, word on him is he quit the team.
D-line aid: A&M could use help from redshirt freshmen Adren Dorsey (6-2, 297) and Rod Davis (6-1, 305) on the defensive line with spots open after junior Lucas Patterson (6-4, 297) moved to offense and senior Kellen Heard quit...link (http://www.aggiesports.com/Sports/Texas-A-amp-amp-M-Football-Notebook2009-04-09T22-09-05)
Maybe he'll enter the suppy.

Bradford is arguably one of the most accurate passers in college football history. Last season, Bradford had 50 TD's versus 8 INT's.
That's all the IT factor I need to hear about.
Bradford doesn't have the "it" factor. He only makes at the most two reads, doesn't read defenses, and is spoon fed his plays on the field by the OU sideline.
Both quarterbacks work from the spread. Bradford didn't need to go to a 3rd receiver frequently because of his impeccable accuracy. Your Longhorns barely made it past the Sooners. You also put too much stock in McCoy's animation. Bradford has more of a quiet leadership, like Joe Montana had.
OU has a history of making QB's look better than they are.
Yeah, as in Troy Aikman.
Besides...a now languishing quarterback named Vince Young went third overall in the 06 draft. Your Texas offense must have made Young look a whole lot better than he is. When was the last time a Texas QB made it in the NFL anyway? Cuz I can't think of any.

Troy Aikman is probably the most overrated quarterback in NFL history. The fact that people place him among the top 10 QB's ever is a joke. He isn't even the best Cowboy QB.
Neither OU nor UT have very good QB histories. Quarterbacks under Bob Stoops have a horrendous history of transitioning to the NFL. I highly doubt Bradford makes a successful NFL guy. McCoy...we'll see. He's definitely a better prospect in my eyes.

Aikman's has 3 rings and people who know football for a living voted him into the Hall of Fame. But that's hardly the point. The point was in response to a posters claim that Oklahoma makes quarterbacks look better than they are. No so with Aikman. That was the point.

Aikman did real well and Vince Young has not, that's a fact. All the rest is just opinion. Bradford still looks like a better prospect in my eyes.
Where the hell did me being a Longhorns fan come from? I don't like Colt McCoy either, of course your views on everything are always myopic so it's no surprise. Good job on citing Aikman, who transferred to UCLA and had most of his sucess there. :falldownlaugh: My hat's off to you, great job.
How myopic of you. True, Akman ended up with the Bruins but he began his career with the Sooners and was doing well there until his injury. Check out his record there before you diminish it. Fact is Aikman honed his craft with the Sooners, there is no denying that.
Now please, instead of citing Aikman, a Bruin, tell me why Bradford has what it takes.
Hey, you begged the question about Aikman with your unthinking comment. Am still waiting for you to give me something other thas "IT" factor. OK, if you insist, Bradford also had a higher QB rating and threw, I believe, about 15more TD's than Colt McCoy. Bradford is also more prototypical quarterback size. Bradford is at least 6'4" inches tall while McCoy is barely 6' 2".
I'm a Stanford fan by the way and think Texas creates crappy QB's on par with OU.
Good luck with you Cardinals. Just wanted to make you feel like you owned that other team. Just having fun.

Number of rings is an overrated statistic. Even for a quarterback, a team is what wins the ring, not any one player. Troy Aikman has three rings and Terry Bradshaw has four rings, but neither was a particularly great player. Without the rings, they'd be considered on the same level as the Ken O'Briens or Vinny Testaverdes of the world - guys who were high draft picks who didn't really bust, but were never really standout quarterbacks who dominated the league during their careers.
That's why, ring or not, Dan Marino is still the greatest quarterback in NFL history. He was the best pure player of the position of quarterback the game has ever seen, followed closely by Peyton Manning. I hold more respect for the great quarterbacks who never won a ring - Jim Kelly, Fran Tarkenton, Dan Fouts, Warren Moon - than the more average guys who were carried to championships by the great teams around them - Aikman, Bradshaw, Jim Plunkett, Bob Griese.

Let's call it all equal when it comes to teams versus QB's winning games, because it was the same for even the greatest quarterbacks. However, as with Montana...the great quartrbacks stepped up when they have to. That's what separates Bradshaw and Aikman from less talents like Obrien and Testaverde. Testeverde broke under pressurem, was a veritable interception machine. O'Brien, just plain inconsistent.

Can't disagree as to Marino's raw talent and statistics. However, if you could ask Marino and he'd probably tell you wanted that ring - because Marino knows that rings catapult any player to a different standard. Quarterbacks don't get their rings by being slouches. Not to denigrate all the other great talents you name. But you don't give enough credit to what Aikman did for his team. The Super Bowl is the highest football stage. Most quarterbacks don't get there, and some whither there. Dilfer got carried to his ring, no doubt. Griese, during the perfect season, perhaps. But certainly not Aikman and Bradshaw. They were triggermen on real and balanced offenses.
Your basing your opinion off of stats.... what does his relevance to McCoy (an equally terrible pro prospect) have to do with anything?
Equally terrible prospect is your conclusion not mine. Merely responding to your question, the one asking how Bradford might make a better prospect than McCoy. Sure statistics don't tell the entire story. But they sure beat any IT factor defense.
