yea he's pretty weak, but a couple year's work may turn him into a solid back-up. he's accurate, smart, definitely has more "it" factor than alex smith.
some hardcore bodybuilding work will put a little more zip in that junior college arm of his.
it's just that he's got to be better than many of the 3rd string stiffs around the league. worst case scenario: he's another tim rattay.

Apparently he was terrible at the Senior Bowl practices and very inaccurate. His performance in that actual game justified this. I don't see the harm in some team actually signing him I suppose. Anything is possible...

I think he's with Cleveland at the moment.

Worst case scenario he's another tim rattay?

So worst case scenario he becomes our starter for a season? But his best case scenario is that he is a 3rd stringer? I dont get what you're saying.

cleveland didn't offer him a contract. I dont see why a team wouldnt, given his career stats at texas tech: Rating of 112.9, 5k yards, 45 TDs and 9 Int. I don't follow college so I was looking into crabtrees stats and was curious about the QB that was throwing to him. Despite the very poor performance I read Harrell gave in the senior bowl, his numbers are respectable. It was nice of his coach to really stand up for him too.

Yeah he actually is just he opposite. He is very inaccurate and his arm is probably worse than Tim Rattays arm. Nobody will pick him up, he is done with football.

He left CLE without a contract. They liked him but at the moment have 4 QB's rostered.

If Colt Brennen has a job in the NFL Harrell certainly should.

Colt Brennan is better than Graham Harrell. While both played in mega-gimmick offenses, at least Brennan got it done pretty much by himself, while Harrell was surrounded by NFL talent, and you don't think having an elite prospect at WR helped him out a bit?

Why? We wasted a top 10 pick on his over-rated receiver, isn't that enough damage?

i actually think the 49ers should pursue colt brennan. because he has a lot of gametime football savvy, he'll likely be better than our QBs in a year or two.
the guy has the ability to make plays at the QB position--a rare commodity.

Definitely has velocity on his throws. More than I thought. I think he can be good. He just needs a shot.

No way. Just because Brennan is better than Harrell doesn't mean he's any good.

Exactly. I'm a big Tech fan and with that said I thin Harrell has absolutely no chance of making it in the NFL. Brennan sucks but I still think he has 3x the chance in the nfl that Harrell does.

The Broncs only have 3 QB's on their roster I believe so I'm surprised they don't bring him into camp. I think they only have Orton, Simms, and Brandstater.

The best place for him would be the new league. At least there he would have a chance to grow and prove himself and maybe make a roster someday.
