Tom Moore retiring is pretty tough with an already heavily changing coaching staff. Peyton Manning is going to have to deal with a new OC for the first time for the first time since his rookie year.

Tough blow for Peyton. Him and Moore really had a good thing working. Moore calling in plays and letting Manning pick. That’s going to be tough for a new guy to come in and pick up. Although, the Colts offense got better in the offseason so that really should help make the transition easier. They got a second RB who can catch passes. No more Harrison means addition by subtraction. Plus I see both coaches being consultants.

as long as P.Manning is a Colt, he'll be the play caller.

It should be very interesting to see if Manning is still as good without Moore. I know he calls his own plays usually but you know Moore had an impact on it and worked very well with Manning. I hope he still does good, the Colts are a fun team to watch.

The Colts should hire Martz, and since Martz said A. Smith is the most talented quarterback he has ever scene, we can trade Smith for Manning straight up.

Peyton needs no offensive line, he is 6'5 with a lazer guided rocket arm!

I was gonna say the exact same thing. Last season when his back up went in, it was Manning with the headset on and calling the plays, even the announcers were commenting about it.

QBs on the bench wear headsets and clip boards all the time and call in plays... That doesn't mean a thing. They aren't the ones actually calling the plays they are just the one in the fellow QBs ear, if you don't have a prominent QB coach its good to have a fellow QB in your ear.
Moore still called the plays. You people seem to think because he used a read system with Manning that it was otherwise? He called in 3-4 plays for Manning, Manning lines the team up reads the defense and then decides which of the 3-4 they are running.
If you think another OC is going to come in and have that chemistry with Manning right away idk... Its possible but I doubt it.

Peyton might make a better DC. If he can just tell a defense on how to stop him, then he's truly a genius.
