RAIDERS MOVING BING TO 'BACKER

Adam Schefter reports that the Oakland Raiders will move fourth-round selection Darnell Bing from safety to linebacker.

Bing, who like most of his USC colleagues ended up sliding in the draft, is considered a little slow to be a safety, but he'll be regarded as fast for a linebacker. And he's definitely got the size to make it work.

at 225 you'd be hard pressed to find another SS his size in the league,
with his 40 time no one can justify having such a big/heavy SS so the move to OLB was expected. He's going to be expected to get stronger and naturally he'll end up putting on weight within the next year or two with the right strength program (unfortunatelly for him he's a raider) he'd be in the 235lb range which would have **** near forced a switch to OLB at that point. It's easier to get him used to it now than after learning SS for a year or two first...

Exactly why we didn't draft him as a safety like alot of people wanted...Nolan knew what he was doing when he let this pick go to the faiders.......
