wow... it used to be where if you didnt have an 80 at a position you have a hole you need to fill. we cant even get 70s in some areas... either things have changed or we got shafted.

As a counter argument though, I checked some of the other teams ratings and it looks like everybody who isn't the Patriots got shafted. Still...SHAUN HILL A 69??????

Things have changed. 90+ overalls are reserved for consistent elite players.

The rating system is rebuilt and re-created. A quarterback has five new ratings. Throw accuracy short, throw accuracy medium, throw accuracy deep, playaction and throw on run. The ysytem is new and improved. Forget everything you know about prior Maddens.

dude they will update the rankings chill out. we are the 49ers obviously our ratings are going to suck until we actually win games. if your disappointed by a game that hasnt even come out yet then dont buy that ****.

I agree that most of these players were shafted. Shaun Hill is worse than J Russell in Madden 10. I don't think that's right. He should be 75. Parys is only ok when you see that his POW Move is 89 and FIN Move 85. Those are great ratings in this game and he should get a good rush fir our team. Jason Hill was never goin' to be made very good because he is so low on the depth chart. I think Morgan shouls be at 78. Spikes is the worst shaft in this game. The man has a great season and Madden takes a **** on his rating. He should at least be 85. Justin Smith should be at least 85. Eric Heitmann is the 2nd worst shaft on this team. He is consistently our best linemen and Madden makes him our 4th best o-linemen. Madden never gives the niners any props so we're just gonna have to start kickin' some asses on the field to earn it. Oh yeah and the one thing I am pleased about is Patrick Willis. After 2 years he is the best MLB in the game/NFL. He is the ultimate weapon on D in Madden and I can't wait to use him to shut teams down.

If anyone is depressed about the 49er ratings, go take a look at the Rammies ratings. You will find yourself feeling better in no time. They suck so bad on D.

Agreed. They understand the new system. They think it is the old system still and so it sucks.

I know its Only Madden haha but I thought it was still cool.

Take a look at the WR's and who is ranked #1.... I think Crabtree will surprise you when he gets on the field. Everyone keeps saying Morgan will be better because of his 1st year but I think Crabtree is just more overall talented.

Also look at Nate Davis His arm strength and accuracy are high and he would be the best rated QB on the team but his AWR is 35 because he is a rookie QB.

These ratings will make anyone that uses the Niners use them realistically. I like the fact that Shaun Hill has the higher short and medium throwing accuracy. It will make you have to sustain nice drives. I plan on relying on Frank Gore running the ball.

Hopefully they will give our defense more respect as the season goes on. I agree that TKO got shafted in his ratings.
