... in Fields. :falldownlaugh:

Fields doesn't have a lot of starting experience, but knows defensive coordinator Mike Nolan's scheme from his days in San Francisco.

He has the requisite size for the position (6'2", 321 pounds) and is known as a strong player who can hold the line of scrimmage.

They're in for a big surprise.

Mike Nolan is going to screw them over. That defense might actually be worse.

Free agent acquisition Ronald Fields is expected to be Denver's starting nose tackle

Wow. They're in worse shape than I thought

Yea, but what's going to be funny is when Nolan unleashes his entire arsenal of defensive plays to try to make himself look good in the preseason against us, only to screw up and become even more dissapointing when the regular season starts.

I think that's a given. Not only are they one of the least talented defenses in the league, they're now going to be running the big nickle holla!

let's hope he does well and plays a lot. We'll get a decent comp pick for him.

I keep thinking the same thing.

arguably our defense was worse with him coaching it.

Our defense acquired better talent and he basically kept the defenses ranked the same as it was with less talent... not to mention the penalties kept piling up while he was here.

Also, ALL of the teams he coached before us as DC - Jets, Giants, Ravens - DROPPED in ranking when he took over their already elite defenses.

Nolan is one of the worst NFL coaches in history.

You guys are all a bunch of hypocrites.

If Fields were still playing for San Francisco, he'd still be that underdog everyone would be cheering to beat out Franklin. He always had the right size, strength, and dexterity; now he actually gets a chance to see if he's developed enough technique to be a starter in the NFL.

I'll root for a guy who paid his dues as a backup on my favorite team, and finally getting his chance on my second favorite team.

Well at least the monkey is off our backs.

In fairness only about 95% of the MB are hypocrites. They are few and far between but there actually are a couple of rational and intelligent opinions on the board.
I hope he does well, we'll benefit from it. Most complain about Nolan's supposed lack of ability to bring in talent, yet nobody talks about the players that have hit and him being the only HC in the league that was willing to give Coach Sing a position of authority above position coach. Then again those are not things people can ***** about.

I'll be shocked if the Broncos win 6 games this year.
