I like Jim Johnson and the schemes he creates for the Philadelphia defense. For the last ten years he's remained pretty consistent. And there really hasn't been one team that has figured out that defense constantly over the last ten years.

Even so, Jim Johnson.

Ness, I know its nit-picking, but Johnson isn't really in the league anymore. He's taken basically a permanent leave of absence to battle cancer and has been officially replaced.

Yep. McDermot worked under JJ for years and Eagle fans are acting like everything will be fine. I'm not.

Bill Belichick > Anyone

And I know he isn't officially the DC, but we all know its his gameplans that allow the PAts to win no matter who's on the roster.

If you want me to pick pure DC.........then its **** LeBeau. HOF player, and now HOF coach.

I agree with all.

I really like the Ryan brothers, but as for the best it is a toss up between Lebeau, and Johnson.

Coach Lebeau of course ;) because of the homer in me, but second to him i would have to jim johnson or rex ryan when he was with the ravens, his defense killed my qb several times.

lebeau then rob ryan as of current DCs. jimmie johnson gets props but he won't be available this year, i also think greg williams has been creative and good at times but goes away from the blitz too much

Lebeau, Johnson and Belichick. The cool thing is that all three use different schemes. But whatever they choose to scheme, they all master every detail of it and trust it. All three have a lot of experience, it's obvious the almost perfect schemes we see today is the result of decades of tireless work to refine their schemes. They make the defense fun to watch.

Yep. McDermot worked under JJ for years and Eagle fans are acting like everything will be fine. I'm not. McDermot will be fine doing the scheming, but the Eagles D will miss the leadership and play calling of Johnson.
