Baltimore is leading after 52 seconds after Ngata ran a pick back from Sanchez

The Jets are going to have a top 10 defense. They're playing well so far.

Flacco has all type of lanes to throw...Oher looks good so far from what I've seen...

everytime I see Flacco and Ryan play it makes me sad...:(

Wow, the Ravens have a passing game now . . . I wouldn't count them out for the play offs this year.

The way Flacco is playing I may have to change my prediction about Pitt winning the div.

Baltimore is doing what Singletary should do vs the Cowboys on Sat. Throwing the ball. We should let Shaun + receivers + Oline get into the flow by throwing 75% of the plays.

:spit: If you want to dominate any decent team through the air, Shaun Hill isn't gonna do it for you.

Why, b/c its Shaun Hill? What if every pass Hill makes connects for a decent gain and moves the chain? That is a very stupid comment.

I agree with both posts above, but we need to practice throwing. Its the preseason. We know we can run.

Looks like the rooks Stafford and Sanchez both got rude awakenings this week.

Welcome to the NFL!

Are you seriously asking that question? The point is that we're living in reality, Shaun Hill just isn't a qb who will dominate a game because he can't make all of the throws. It's the main reason why he's been a career back-up.

Back on topic: The Ravens defense is effing scary.

He's facing the Ravens 1st team D dude, lol. I don't think any rookie would look good out there against that unit.

can we trade Shaun Hill and Alex Smith for Mark Sanchez?

Dude, it's the first team defense for Baltimore. And he's a rookie. Cut him a break.

so far Sanchez is better than any QB the niners have.

Well let's not crown him yet, but he is looking good for a rookie. That release really helps him out.

ok so what...I didnt say he was gonna suck in his career...the comment was "Sanchez lookin good" right after his only good throw...the truth is he looked bad against them until that throw...him coming back and making that play shows his mental makeup...

Ray Ray and Reed on the sideline = not Ravens 1st team D...

LOL, the Ravens are still a good defense with Ed Reed and Ray Lewis on the sidelines. Even if he didn't throw that touchdown pass I wouldn't fault him for his play against Baltimore.

Is the Ravens' first team D still in the game?

Were we ever considering Ngata when we drafted VD or would he have been considered a reach?

I dont think so...I think it was either Hawk or VD whichever was not drafted...

by many yeah he prob would've been seen that way on draft day...cuz VD 4.3 would be there and people would be saying if we want Smith to succeed we need to get him some weapons...being that big his weight was also a concern...as soon as Ngata played football all that went out the window...:(

and there were whispers of "character concerns" when Ngata was in the draft. If I remember correctly, his mom had just passed that year and he was living life pretty agro off the field.

his motor was questioned cause he took plays off. on the ravens board debates were ngata vs bunkley. bb for his motor and those smarter than i knew ngata would work hard with the baltimore defense around him...

Well both Ngata and Bunkley have turned out to be beasts in their own respective schemes, so I'd say both of them worked out pretty good where they ended up.

really? I know Bunkley starts an all but as many NFCE gms I watch I never notice him... He's pretty good. He was basically living in the backfield in the Eagles' playoff game against the Giants last year. He gets good push up the middle on the pocket and he plays the run very well.

Yeah Ngata is evolving into a wonderful D-lineman. Against Tennessee he was living in their backfield on runs. Hes one of the reasons Ray Lewis is still able to fly around be free. They better lock him up long term

That Ravens defense is going to be even better this season with another underrated DT in Kelly Gregg being back

I think hes the only NT (Gregg I mean) that has ever chased down and sacked Michael Vick. I remember when that play happened Siragusa nearly had a heart attack.
