If we go 3-13 we sure as hell wouldn't take McCoy there. That record would certainly give us a top 5 pick and with that the only player I'd want at that point would be Eric Berry.

We have Z E R O stability at the qb position which is a recipe for D I S A S T E R in the N F L. you want to know why tebow wasn't in the draft this year? because all the nfl scouts looked at him and didn't see an nfl caliber QB - believe the "i want this college achievement" crap all you want. that guy didn't enter the draft because he knew he wasn't going to get drafted when or for what position he wanted.

im not too sure about mccoy....he might just be another spread QB...he reminds me of alex actually.....but either way if the team wanted him we could just trade our 2 first rounders to put ourselves in position to get him....then we wouldn't have to tank this season.....Im hearing alot about this snead dude....what kinda offense do they run in mississippi???

i agree, i would love to see bradford in a niner uniform. almost as much as i would hate to see him in a ram or seahawk uniform... or god forbid with the cards ><

a super accurate passer who's good with his reads? it just seems like more and more those are the guys who make it in this league? you don't have to be able to win a game with your legs, just be able to feel the pocket and slide around accordingly, tom brady has shown that time and time again. this is of course coming from a fan who has been dealing with the alex smith saga for how many years now? if you can't put the ball where you want to... doesn't much matter what else you can do.

Texas doesn't just run a spread offense. Of course they use it, but not always like you might see with Tim Tebow and the Florida Gators. Texas run the pro-sets, and so does Oklahoma and 'Ole Miss. I honestly think the #1 pick next year will be Sam Bradford, with Jevan Snead following him as the #2 QB taken. That depends on if Snead declares after his Junior year, putting him in a draft where guys like Tebow and McCoy are looking to be top picks as well. McCoy will go before Tebow, no doubt. I don't care how many National Championships he wins with the gimmick offense, Tebow will find it hard to go in the top 20 for the simple fact that he takes every play out of the shot-gun, and has never been forced to turn his back to a defense, and quickly check his reads.

We should focus on Nate Davis and developing him as our future, and if we get a chance at a quarterback in the draft - we need to think long and hard about it and make sure we're not passing up key plays on defense or offense we could use more than QB when we just drafted a young, talented QB in 09.

I'd be surprised if Sam Bradford doesn't go #1 overall - so our chances of getting him are very, very low. (I hope, ha)

Being realistic, I think we have a shot at either McCoy or Tebow. Snead will go in the top 5 as well (should he declare), so unless Carolina stinks it up bad and our FO wants to take a chance on another big 1st Round QB when we could get a nice defensive player I don't think we'll get Snead or Bradford.

I think if we draft a QB it will be with the second pick in the 1st round, and more than likely McCoy and Tebow will be the only ones left. I'm praying for McCoy. How ironic would it be to have McCoy throwing to Crabtree? College rivals reunite in Niner red and gold!

McCoy will be a low first-rounder at best so we don't have to go 3-13 to get him. Plus if we draft Tebow in the first round I will pick up my TV and throw it out the window. I wouldn't using a mid-round pick on Tebow but first or second right now is to high.

If we finish somewhere in the draft where I believe we should with the type of season we should have(15-23) then we should be able to draft one of the other higher rated quarterbacks not named Bradford (McCoy, Snead if he declares)........

Because with the subpar talent evaluation going on in the league it makes it possible to get a steal like those late in the first round so we should be fine, lets just go out and play football the way coach wants the team to do and thats whats going to happen all this type of talk is ridiculous as of right now....
