Ok, help a fellow 49er brother out - tailgating

This will be my first trip to Candlestick, even though I was born and raised in California, and have followed the Niners since John Brodie was the QB. My brother and I are meeting somewhere around the stadium, but are a bit confused by the tailgating information.
I have read some postings regarding this, and it seems that it is first come first served, but that some other areas are paid, but only sometimes.
Give me some advice, my friends!

ok the best ive found is to go to the free first come first serve area, find a spot as close as you can, fire off your grill open your cooler loaded full of bud light of course, spark a conversation with the hotties next to you, talk only about haw awsome the niners are, also exceptable is how much the TRADERS suck, and enjoy all that is candlestick, hope you enjoy the game
