For one day at least, Vince Young stepped up to try to fill the void for the late Steve McNair's two young sons, the Tennessean reported Thursday.

Young surprised 11-year-old Trenton and 5-year-old Tyler on Wednesday by showing up at their house and taking them to their school's "Dear Dads Breakfast" at a local restaurant.

"Those are my boys," Young told the Tennessean. "I wouldn't say it was to pay anyone back; it was just out of love. Steve would do it for me. He pretty much did it for me when I was growing up. I have a history with the boys and I want to do anything I can. I am their big brother."

Did he commit adultery at least? It wouldn't be genuine without it.

I thought it was a given.

Same here, but the article doesn't mention any degrading of women. Perhaps they assumed we already knew that?

i equate this to jamarcus working out with his wrs in the offseason, it's a should be done move and is well below what warrick dunn did for single mothers he did not know

They probably didn't want to state the obvious.

Wow what Warrick Dunn did for those women is unbelievable. That takes a different level of kindness to not only put a down payment on the house but refurnish it as well.

You're right; that would show a lack of good journalism IMMHAHGDO; thus they left out what we already know: Vince Young had unprotected premaritial sex with married women in front of Trenton and Tyler;

We all know to be a good journalist you just assume people know everything that you do, then just kinda give interesting tidbits.

I guess he can also be like a husband to McNair's wife. Afterall, he's presumably sleeping with another woman (his own) already.

I don't understand why people have to Dixs about everything! Regardless of what Young has done up to this point in his career and regardless of what McNair did, this was a great thing he did for those kids on "Dear Dads Breakfast" day. It's hard enough those kids lost their father and they will be without him forever, but its extra hard for them on these type of events set aside for a Father and his Child/Children to spend together at school to be there without anyone while looking around to see everyone else with theirs. There are plenty of children, even those who "supposedly" have a father at home, that has to go through this kind of thing year in and year out. Glad he stepped up to the plate!
