What does that tell you about today's game? Tells me that the 49ers are THAT good and the Birds not so much....

I don't see how that says the seahawks aren't very good?

Watched the Skins/Rams game and while the Skins do tend to play down to an opponent, I didn't find the game to be very reassuring.

Skins played down to the Rams. Badly. Seahawks did to them what any team that's at least average should be able to do.

I wouldn't worry about losing to the Rams this season.

The Skins really shouldn't be this bad. Talent wise, they're not.

But when your QB throws for 250 yards and gets only sacked once all game, and all four times you get into the red zone you only let him throw it once, I think we all know what the problem there is.

Classic example from today from the very end of the 4th quarter- Skins run the ball on 1st and 2nd down (predictably off left tackle), and it's 3 and 3. Skins then run it off the left guard for two yards, of course. 4th and 1, Skins decide to go for it, what do they do? Run it off left tackle for negative yardage, turning the ball over.

If you're going for it on 4th down in that scenario, fine, but if the play called was a Campbell bootleg it would have been the easiest TD in the world. Either Cooley releasing off the right side of the line to catch it, or Campbell probably could have run it in himself the way the Rams' entire defense shifted towards the running play.

Worst red zone playcalling since 2004 in Gibbs' first year back.

These comparisons don't work in football.

You can't read that much into a couple games. You can make all kinds of this guy beat that guy who beat that guy who lost to that guy who almost beat the super champ arguments. Its ****ing retarded.

this basically is a staple of the redskins since campbell has been qb.

scoring points = pulling teeth

That's what I mean, they have loads of talent, and I think Campbell is good enough even though he's thrown under the bus by all the coaches and management.

scoring points = pulling teeth I don't think Campbell is that good, but he's decent enough, especially against a team like the Rams. Put him in shotgun and run 3 or 4 wide and he can move the chains all day against a lot of teams.

Honestly, I don't think he fits this WCO that well, and Zorn's playcalling, especially in the redzone (which was an issue last year as well) makes me want to close my garage door and sit in my car with the engine running.

The bigger problem is that this team doesn't play with any fire. The defense has guys like Albert Haynesworth, Brian Orakpo, LaRon Landry, Carlos Rogers, London Fletcher, and you can only get one sack on the Rams? That's embarrassing with that kind of talent. It's a "bend but don't break" BS philosophy, with little blitzing at all. Haynesworth has played his *** off in both games already but he's useless if you aren't going to send guys at the QB around the blocks he's taking up.

The only times I can remember this team playing passionately in recent years was for most of the 2005 season, and when the team rallied together after Sean Taylor died. And that took Joe Gibbs as the HC to pull together.

The talent is on the field, it's just not being coached properly.
