SF @ MN, will anyone be joining me at the Metrodome?

Three other 49er fans from Wisconsin, along with myself, are going to be making the trip to the Metrodome for the game Sunday. I was just wondering if anyone else from the board will be in attendance, and possibly want to meet up before the game for some shots, drinks, beer and/or burning of Favre effigies, and toasting a 9er W afterwards. Here's to hoping the Vikes horn doesn't blast in my head all night..

And also, I had a wedding in the Twin Cities this past weekend and tried to do my fair share of trash talking before the whiskey coma set in, though it was weird being outnumbered by people who too hate the Packers as much as I do.

Feel free to PM or just reply on the thread if you want... I'll be the dude w/the VD jersey and Crimson Tide hat on, weird mix for a Badger alum born and raised in Wisconsin huh. Willis v. AP II, pumped!

Not much organizing going on in the original post for this either. Looks like we'll all just have to keep an eye out for niner fans ourselves. I'll be tailgating with viqueen fans in purple lot #1.

That's a great idea. And it might be easier to organize a tailgate if all us niner fans actually met up in person. I'm not familiar w/ the area; only been there twice but I'll throw out a few suggestions.

#1) I was thinking about checking out Brit's Pub. It's something different; obviously from the name you can tell it's a British Pub. It's located in the Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis. http://www.britspub.com/

#2) Also, there's a sports bar called Joe Senser's. My uncle told me about this place and I did a lil research. It's in Bloomington. They've got 20 60 inch tvs and it was voted #15 in Sports Illustrated list of top sports bars in America. Here's the website... http://www.sensers.com/home.html

Yup some old roommates of mine from the cities as well as some people on the board mentioned that one for before the game. As for the night before, anywhere in the mpls/st.paul metro is fair game for us

Before the season started I was kind of thinking it'd be tough to walk out of there w/a win. But the vikes haven't shown me much (outside of AP being disgusting) and the 49ers have shown be quite a bit. I've been to one game before at the HHH Dome and it's llllllllllllllllllllloud, I can't wait!

Ok everyone I have seen a lot of back and forth about what to do before the game in minneapolis this Sunday. A buddy and I did this in St. louis 2 years ago and we got 50 Niner fans to show up. Both of us live in the cities and are going to give it another go with a goal of 100 Niner fans in one spot before the game. Just think of it getting boozed with all your 49er friends talking how we are going to kick some serious butt this year. I would love to see a sea of red hit minneapolis by storm. We are trying to get the owner to have a happy hour menu for Niner fans, so i need everyone to let us know if you are going to make it down there. They open at 9am so I am encouraging everyone to get there then to drown out the viking fans.

Hehehehe... now now :P I still got to find a hotel for saturday night, and then see how much a cab or a bus costs to go from the hotel to the stadium. Anyone staying at any cheap hotels??

And as far as the field.. I havent gotten lucky yet this year. Jed was supposed to hook me up for the zona game but i never saw him on the field. So hopefully can get a little lucky. I mean i have been on the field at what 3 dome stadiums so far lol. So i guess we will see.

I'm supposed to be tailgating with Vikes fans at the purple tailgate lot #2 around 8 am. I'll definitely make my way over to Grumpy's, prob not until around 10 though. I look forward to seeing some REAL football fans in the twin cities :)

Maybe not right at 9 but between then and 10.Down from Canada and we're staying at the Hilton in Bloomington close to the Mall of America. Getting there tomorrow ( Friday ) evening. WOW!!! It's finally here!! It looks like we are all going to be spread out in different parking lots. :-( But as long as we all unite during the game, it will be ALL GOOD!!! I leave for Minnesota in the morning and can't wait to meet any and all niner faithfuls!!! I'm sitting in sec 100 row 3, and I'll be with 3 Viking fans and one Lions fan(I doubt if she wears her gear though!). I can't wait to quiet that dome the way we did AZ!!!
