Also yeah Edwards does checkdown a lot, but I'd rather have that than a QB who throws stupid passes into double coverage, or who stares down his WRs before making the throw. Edwards is not the best, but he's certainly better than quite a few other QBs in the league.

Thats not it. Captain Checkdown literally doesn't throw the ball outside the hashmarks.
