View Full Version : Better Week 5 start at QB: Rivers or Huard?

Palmer, my normal ace QB is on the bye in Week 5. (I think he was in Week 4, too, LOL! But anyways...)

I have Rivers as my backup, but I also am going to pick up Huard and drop a dead weight off my roster to do it. I figure Huard will be expendable for another roster move once Green comes back and establishes he's healthy again.

At any rate, which one is the better start of the two? Rivers is in the SNF game versus Pittsburgh, and Huard is going against the Cardinals.

For what it's worth, I have LT on my roster so there COULD be a double-TD dose if Rivers threw to LT, but I'm all about starting the best, educated option at QB, regardless of team. (Starting someone just for a double-TD possibility isn't always worth it.)

Huard without question, I know people where making fun of him on the forum before our game, but I watched when he came in after green got injured in the cinci game and he was good, not a one shot pony in our game.

Rivers has looked decent as far a football player, but not great in fantasy, and pittsburg will tear him apart especially after getting two weeks to prepare for the game.

That is a good point on the bye week. I am leaning towards Huard for this week. We'll see what happens. All I need him for is one week, so I hope he didn't blow everything he had against San Francisco. (Which was painful to watch, I might add.)
