i saw this on another message board. it is a good website.

i wouldnt mind getting ufa nate clements if possible...
he young and exactly what we need. IMO, he would be a great addition to our very thin secondary.

Good stuff, although that list never looks as attractive come March... and which ever **** stuck in that flashing "Won a Laptop" banner deserves to have their teeth kicked in...

Pretty slim pickings. I find it funny that a lot of the players listed are already FAs...like they're something to look forward to being available. Most of the big name guys will resign with their current clubs, or go chase a trophy.

Briggs and Thomas are the only two that get me going.

Hmm..I would like to have either of these 3

1. Darnell Dockett
2. Ken Hamlin
3. Deon Grant

Nate....Clements....must....have....

His price tag might be too high to franchise him again, so we may get a shot at him. That would be a HUGE pick-up for us.

Ken Hamlin (The seahawks can't have enough money to sign him CAN they?) and Michael Lewis (If he gets his act together this season) looks nice at safety.

I wonder how well Vonnie Holiday or Darnell Docket would fit in as a 3-4 DE.

He's familiar with Gregg Williams' D and coaching style, he's pretty much the prototypical corner to fit in our defense, and we quickly need to find a replacement for Shawn Springs. Either we're going to use our #1 pick on a corner in the draft, or Clements will be our big free agency pick up (I'd imagine our only free agency move as well, since there's literally no other position the Skins need anyone at for the moment).

Turner would be nice. But, he's an RFA, and could get a 1st round tender.

You'll get Clements. WAS always buys the biggest name...and trades away their draft picks. Your cupboard will be full of FAs, and no rookies, as usual

Clements would be nice but I don't want to spend a bunch of money on one corner and have limited money to help other areas of our Defense.

you should have kept Walt Harris :tung:
...the only guy on our defense playing well. lol, yeah right. I'm happy for Walt that he's playing well in San Fran, but he was NEVER playing that well in D.C., or even in Indy. He was a decent tackler, I'll give him that, but coverage wise his good plays were too few and far between. On a similiar note, Rumph has actually been playing really solid for us thus far, including a couple big plays against the Jaguars recievers last weekend. I guess the change of scenery was what both guys needed.

Your cupboard will be full of FAs, and no rookies, as usual  Yep, that explains why the defense features Carlos Rogers and a guy named Sean Taylor starting, with Anthony Montgomery, Kedric Golston, and Rocky McIntosh all getting good playing time in different packages in their rookie years, with Rocky probably starting in a few more weeks. All draft picks by the way.

At least you're making your 3 draft picks per year count.

You won't have a first round pick come April. :)

As for the players listed, I know we're quite deep at LB but you just can't go wrong with Adalius Thomas imo. Also, Randall Gay and Asaunte Samuel are available (Gay is a restricted FA).

Name me a player the skins will not try to sign. :whistling: What does that even mean? Before the 05 season, the Skins signed David Patten in free agency. That was it. Last offseason, we needed a pass rushing DE, we needed a run stopping strong safety, and we needed another wide reciever. We only brought in two recievers because Saunders wanted both Lloyd and Randle El. So better yet, name me a player they WILL try to sign outside of Clements, instead of throwing out the easy "Skins will try to buy everyone in FA" comments.
