I believe that the return game, and special teams overall have a huge impact on the game. Most will say 1/3 of the game, but I like to think the special teamers set the tone for the entire ball game. What do you guys think?
Who's the Best KR/PR man?
Best ST unit overall?
Think special teams suck and are as useless as this thread?
K cool?

I think that if you think that ST sets the tone for the entire game then you were obviously a ST player in high school.

Best return man would be Devin Hester but instead they'd rather have a kinda decent receiver. In light of that, it's Cribbs.

If I had to choose right now:
Best KR: 1. Harvin 2. Cribbs 3. Jones
Best PR: 1. Cribbs 2. Jackson 3. Royal 4. Hester
Best ST unit overall: 1. Buffalo....they have a top 2-3 Punter in the league, a good kicker, good kick coverage, and have 3-4 of the leagues best return men on their roster at all times. McKelvin, McGee, Parrish, and Freddy Jackson are all amongst the leagues best return men.
Special Teams are important but certainly not 1/3 of the game. Teams can get by with average punters, return men, and coverage. The only truly important guy is a consistent kicker. A good return man is great and certainly helps, but isn't essential.
