"If a situation came about with something as close as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, I would be a moron not to at least look into it and be somewhat interested," DeBartolo told Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times, before Bucs co-chairman Joel Glazer denied that the team could be for sale.

"If [the Glazers] are interested in selling, and they're very serious about it, of course we have a small syndicate that would be interested in it," DeBartolo said.

The whole thing is crazy, the Glazers have so much money, they're not going to sell out of the NFL.

Indeed. They have turned my club into the *****s, 600 million in Debt. I was expecting maybe a slight debt, but 600 million? Ridiculous. Us fans feel the brunt by higher ticket prices, as well as no investment into new facilities and players. We sold Ronaldo for 80 million, 20 million was injected back into the club. The Glazers have an outstanding debt of 120 million that must be payed by next May, I wonder where the remaining 60 million has gone?

Umm...incorrect. He sold the team to his sister. He was found to be committing fraud inside the family company and on top of his other illegal activities the Yorks sued him. He had a choice. Sell his family business assets and keep the 49ers or he could sell the 49ers to Denise, keep it part of the corporation, and get an even bigger share of the family company.

Eddie chose to sell the team to stay part of the family company, live with it. Your 'perfect owner' sold his team in favor of staying in daddie's comforting financial empire.
