Hi guys. first time here on the board.
I'm coming in September for my first ever niners game against the eagles and I have some questions about the stadium.
1. Which section is the best (in term of view)? Lower East look nice but I read that you are very far from the action.
2. At what time does the parking lot open on gameday ?
3. When do the individual game tickets go on sale ?
thanks and go :sflogo:

1. You want to get tickets on the Niners side of the field, so the sun is not in your face all day. The South Endzone gets pretty hyped up during the games. Check out LB sections 1 - 13. A few message board members have seats in this area.
I would also recommend any Upper Box seats between UB 10 to UB 40
And obviously Lower Box 12 - 22 are good. Those are between the 20 yard lines..
If you get lower reserved seats. Make sure they are not to far into the overhang because IMO u get detached from the game... Seems to far away from the action... I once had tickets in Lower reserved, 2nd to last row.. boy did that suck
Lower East seats have good seats, but you will be in the sun all day..
2. Parking lot is open by 8am. Some of the people will let you in the lot a bit earlier if you have your pre paid parking lot. You can avoid the traffic jam into the stadium if you get there by 9:30am. There are also other parking lots around the stadium that are closer to the freeways. So that you can get out quick after the game..
3. Single game tickets go on sale Mid July..

1.) The Lower East is Season Tickets. most of the tickets that TicketMaster has are upper deck and in the North Endzone. After the last two seasons the selection TM has might be better I do not know.
2.) The parking lot opens around 7:00 A.M. if you have prepaid parking, which is season ticket holders. They do sell parking in the main lot the day of the game ($25 is the price) but spaces are limited. Get there early and you should have not have a problem.
3.) Single game tickets should go on sale in late July check up on the 49ers web page it will be listed there when it gets near time for them to go on sale. The Eagles, Packers and Raiders should sell out fast. I know the last time we played the Eagles at the Stick the Eagles brought about 6 big group buses

I can vouch for the Lower Reserved as being great seats all around. I've had season tickets since 2000 in LR Sec 34 (just moved to Sec26) and I've snuck into different LR areas just to check them out. Bring layered clothing because it can be hot one minute and the bay breeze can make you cold the next.
See the virtual seat viewer:

Main parking was open at 8am when I got there. I usually get there between 9-10am.
Individual game tix usually go on sale in July. They're selling group tix now, but you need to buy at least 20.

1) Yes, TM has better seats available. At least, when I bought some as a season ticket holder - we get to buy before the general public.
2) I've gotten there as late as Noon and got into the main area. Best to use the North, side entrace by the RV's.

Alright thanks everyone.
My tickets would have been in the lower east but if it's that bad because of the sun, I'll take a look at this and try to change.

I was looking at tickets and in the lower section the rows start with A correct ? I don't want to get there and find some crazy numbers ahead of the letters...
From the field on out, in this order:
Lower Box.....................................Rows are 'lettered'
Lower Reserve...............................Rows are 'numbered'
Upper Box.....................................Rows are 'lettered'
Upper Reserve...............................Rows are 'numbered,
Note: There are some seats in the South Endzone that are 'Field Box'. It's a section almost on the field in the Southheast corner. Usually family/ex-players sit there.

Are the LB 17 seats any good ? Looks good but is it to low ?
John Madden says: The best place to watch a game from is the corner of the endzone".
With Lower Box seats you aren't able to see the play at the far end so well, but from LB17 you'll be able to see the large JUMBOTRON at the north end, plus I think you'll be able to see the smaller one at the South end (LR7).
Have you used the 3-D view thing on the home page (right side)?
Also use this site: www.seatdata.com They will show you an approx. view from the section. Keep in mind the the photo is taken from the rear of the section.

Thanks for the info, Peter and Monster... I smell a road trip in the air.. From So CAL to NO CAL
If you checked the view by using www.seatdata.com , the photos are taken from the back of the section. Notice the shadow, they were standing in Lower Reserve when they took the picture. Also, if you're coming down for the game against the EAGLES, visiting team will enter the field from the right of section 17. When viewing the seatdata photo, 'click' to see the sections to the right (i.e. 19, 21, 23). You will see the sideline and the bench the visiting team sits on.

I'm in LR 40 row 23, in the North end zone. That's right below the big jumbotron. Aside from the fact that you are in the end zone, the sight lines are perfect - close enough that you feel part of the game, but high enough that nothing interferes with your view. Well, nothing except for the guy who keeps standing up and taking his shirt off. Not a pretty sight.
