It's midseason. What celebration that you've seen have you liked thus far? T.J. Houshmanzadeh's celebration of when he took his gloves off and dusted his feet just screamed "classic" to me.

DeAngelo Hall did the Deion Sanders after a TD this year

Are you watching for football? Or for the choreography?

Personally, I watch for football, not for something I can get in a Broadway show.

Isn't having both better than one or the other?

this is entertainment so entertain me as much as possible. football is here for our entertainment and the celebrations are now part of it. the way i see it......entertain me because this is the entertainment business.
Exactly

Why do people feel this need to have celebrations for every TD though? It's football. You're supposed to be entertained by the game itself, not by these TD celebrations that most of the time are really lame and stupid. Heck, some of them celebrate first downs or run-of-the-mill tackles as if they just won the Super Bowl.

If you score, and you want to high-five a teammate or group it up and pat helmets and yell and scream a bit as you go to the sideline, fine. But if you want to watch Riverdance, go to the video store and look for the Michael Flatley version, not Chad Johnson.

What's not to like about celebrations? I mean most of the time they are fun to watch as long as you have a sense of humor. And when they are lame you can laugh at those guys, which is also fun. Celebrations are part of the modern NFL and I personally like to watch players express themselves without being penalized (mostly).

Ha. True. I can't remember who it was, I believe it was last week or prior to, (could it have been the 9ers vs Chargers?), the offense drove on the D all the way down the field, and when said unamed player made a 1st and 10 tackle in their red zone after a pick up of one, he celebrated by talking a bow. Hilariously stupid.

For the record, I'm in the pro-celebration camp. Come one, everyone tried to see what Chad Johnson did last year after every score. Let them have fun.

Peyton running the ball in for the td and then spiking the ball.
