Seems like everyone on here is concerned with NT and Safety prospects.. So keep these names in mind:
John Wendling, SS, Wyoming (6'1, 222)
One of the best defensive players in the conference, the 6-1, 222-pound tackling machine has 164 stops over the last two seasons and has enough speed to eventually be playing on Sundays. Clocked at just under 4.4 in the 40, he has the wheels to play anywhere in the secondary, but his hitting ability and range make him too valuable at strong safety after moving over from free safety."
I happened to watch a couple Wyoming games, and the kid is very impressive. Great cover man, great hitter, great tackler. I am a bit skeptical about the under 4.4 thing, watching him play I'd say more like a 4.45 guy.. but very athletic.
Kelly Talavou, NT, Utah (6'2 320)
Going to make this brief.. But.. Very active, high motor player. Brings good skills to the table combining nice strength and quickness. Size is perfect for a nose tackle and he will definately keep blockers off the LBs. He is great at collapsing the pocket and providing some pass rush himself as well.
Louis Leonard, NT, Fresno State (6'4 320)
Not the most athletic, but he will hold blockers off LBs. He is a little lazy it seems.. but could be had in the 4th-5th. He is more of a depth guy for NT.. not really a starter.

Another one I'd like to throw out there:
NT Conrad Bolston, Maryland. He got moved over to DT from NT this year, and isn't playing as well as last year, but he's a good NT prospect for day 2.

Alabama plays 3 down linemen, and rotates J.P. Adams, Jeremy Clark, and Dominic Lee at NT. Any of the three could end up a second day pick for us.
I'm looking forward to the Miami vs. Georgia Tech game, because I'm interested in massive DT Kareem Brown.

R any of them fast like New Englands NT:shots:Oh yeah. Clark and Lee are probably the most athletic, while Adams is the most stout at the point of attack.

Here's one not for this year or next, but the year after(or after that)
Roy Miller--DT, Texas.
Only seeing playing time because of injury to Lokey, but since Okam is constantly double teamed and schemed for due to his obvious talents, this kid needed to step up and has done just that.

was watching the LSU - TENNESSEE game yesterday, isnt LSU's safety landry meant to be very good? he got burnt on a pretty big TD pass.

That pass wasn't landries responcibility, he was on another guy and peeled off after the throw.

Even though I love what Landry brings, I would rather draft a DE b/c we need a lot of help in the trenches. ALso signing a Safety in FA is MUCH cheaper compared to signing a DE in FA.

your right about depth & holding blocks....talk about taking up space lol that might be all he does for Fresno State:pullhair:
all joking aside, i think he can be a Anthony Adams clone and would be cheaper than keepin Adams if he's on the chopping block...worth a look if your right and he's around the 5th round or later

Some others from small schools
Kevin Kolb, QB Houston- May be second to Quinn as a pure QB
Joe Staley, OT Cent Michigan Converted skill player with quick feet
Matt Gutierrez, QB Idaho St Backed up Navare in Mich then transfered once Henne Hit.
David Ball, WR New Hampshire Probably the most productive WR in the country the last 2 years
Jeff Rowe, QB Nevada ---OK homer pick but I play Indoor Soccer with him!
Anthony Pudewell TE Nevada--Proof is in the Pudewell!

Some others from small schools
I'll add a few to this, although not all are from small schools, just not big named ones:
WR Aundrae Allison, East Carolina
WR Johnnie Lee Higgins, and QB Jordan Palmer (carson's lil bro), UTEP
CB Travarous Bain, and CB Calvin Bannister, Hampton
FS Josh Gattis, Wake Forest
CB C.J. Wilson, Baylor
WR Laurent Robinson, Illinois St
DE Dan Bazuin, C. Michigan

I have Johnnie Lee Higgins as one of my top rated recievers.
Josh Gattis has been said by Wake Forest coaches to be the smartest player they've ever coached. He's a solid player, but doesn't appear to be a first day worthy guy. Aundrae Allison is a likely first day canidate.
Gattis's 'stock' is flying upwards right now, and I would think he's going day one if the draft were today.

CJ Wilson has good stuff and also has plenty of drive to succeed(big ego).

I am a huge fan of Kevin Kolb fan. I have been hyping him for some time now and could see him sneaking into the first if he builds enough hype at the senior bowl/combine.
I like Joe Staley's potential, but I am not as high on him as some are.
I've met Matt before. He has a good arm and would definately be a second day pick guy to consider.
David Ball is very productive, but only a late second day pick. He doesn't appear to have the athleticism to be anything more. At the college (especially D2 level) he makes it up with his route running, hands, and effort though.
I like Jeff Rowe and he has all of the tools, and I think he would be a good fifth-sixth guy.
Ya I saw Houston last year or the year before play and was hooked by the offense, just very fun to watch. I also think he may be billed as a system QB like Chang and other lower tier pass happy offense Qb's of the past. The guy has some serious skill and poise though!
