GO HAWKS!! Iowa is just a fluke team though and has no business getting to compete with "real" teams.
I decided to add Texas, Alabama, and Florida to these stats that you've probably seen before..... Number of opponents defeated that currently have winning records: 1. Iowa 6 2. Texas 4 2. Cincinnati 4 2. Texas Christian 4 5. Alabama 3 5. Oregon 3 7. Boise State 2 7. Florida 2 Total won-lost records (and winning percentage) of defeated opponents: 1. Iowa 44-31 .586 2. Florida 35-29 .547 3. Texas 35-30 .538 4. Oregon 29-28 .508 5. Texas Christian 34-33 .507 6. Alabama 32-33 .492 7. Cincinnati 30-36 .454 8. Boise State 27-37 .421 Total won-lost records of opponents defeated in their home stadiums (i.e. road wins) 1. Iowa 23-12 .657 2, Texas 15-9 .625 3. Florida 15-10 .600 4. Texas Christian 19-14 .575 5. Alabama 9-7 .563 6. Cincinnati 21-20 .512 7. Boise State 14-18 .437 8. Oregon 6-10 .375 Number of defeated opponents ranked in current BCS top 25: 1. Iowa 3 (Penn State, Arizona, Wisconsin) 1. Oregon 3 (USC, Utah, California) 3. Texas 2 (Oklahoma, Oklahoma State) 4. Boise State 1 (Oregon) 4. Cincinnati 1 (South Florida) 6. Florida 1 (LSU) 7. Alabama 0 7. Texas Christian 0 Won-lost records of remaining teams left on schedule: 1. Alabama 30-12 .714 2. Iowa 17-10 .629 3. Oregon 19-12 .612 4. ... 13 straight wins and still rollin!! That is so hard to do in any conference let alone the big 10. Its all luck though! Leading the nation in interceptions is all luck too. How can you not respect what Iowa is doing? They don't get the star recruits that USC, Florida, LSU, Ohio State etc. get and yet they're winning as a unit They're playing cohesively enough to win 9 straight games in the big ten. 13 straight going back to last season. I find that incredible and yet the amount of hate out there for this team is overwhelming. Not as much hate out there for teams like TCU, Boise State, and Cinn. If Iowa is overrated than those three teams certainly are. Its not the bias love for the high profile teams in college football that sickens me. I can understand that, and I understand wanting to be a part of a winning program. However its the hate for the weaker programs that pisses me off. College football fans (SEC, Big 12 especially) are so snobbish its sickening. Especially when their teams are losing. They dont want anyone else to get a chance at competing in case their team drops a game or two. And if their team falls, any other team with a better record is automatically overrated. |

And PSU has a terrible defense? Wisconsin? It's amazing how people will do anything to bring to the Big 10. For Christ's sake Iowa has beat more ranked teams than anybody else. |

The reason I say spread offenses can beat them is because they stay in the 4-3 the entire time. Florida would expose them, alabama not so much. It isnt a conference attack on my part, its the way iowa specifically plays.
