I think we will be going to the playoffs as well. Sad that the fans are already losing faith in Singletary as our head coach. There is a learning curve. This is his first head coaching job and he is learning as he goes. I expect a strong 2nd half from the 49ers.

Maybe we should hire Jim Mora to replace Singletary. He has a history of fixing bad teams.

i don't pay much attention to postgame presser's too often and what's said.. basically Sing talks afterwards as if he's a player.. and after a game like this (or after the Vikes game when he made his comments then about them), that's what you would say to yourself..

i'm pretty sure he's not lookin' ahead or overlooking the opponent we're facing this sunday (which personally is MY mentality as a fan and former athlete when i look at games on the schedule).. i dont bother lookin' ahead and seeing "hmm.. that's a win here, win there, MUST-WIN here, tough one there, etc etc..."

you play who's on your schedule.. we need to beat the Titans this sunday... this team's lost 4 out of its last 5 games.. forget all this playoff talk right now..

typical 'rah rah' coach talk.

he cant exactly say "uh, im not sure if we will make the playoffs".

in any case, im not thrilled at all with this team at the moment. after the vikings loss i thought we were still a playoff team. after the falcons loss i thought perhaps it was an aberration and we were still playoff calibre. but a 4 game losing streak, regardless of opponent, has to lower expectations a little.

i certainly think we can still make the playoffs, but we are going to have to play much better than we have.

Sing could never get that high pitched, nasal voice that is such an indispensible element of that rant. "Playoffs!?! Don't talk about playoffs!?! You kiddin' me!?! Playoffs!?!"
