Default Most annoying online opponent you have played

I was playing the Eagles. He would line up 3 WR's and a TE on the right side of the football field. With Vick, he would take the snap... run all the way to the left side of the field nearly out of bounds then throw the ball back to Desean Jackson in that bunch formation on a screen. He got 20+ yards everytime. I tried a Cover 2 defense, press coverage, just regular man coverage. Nothing worked. I pulled line backers and dline men to the side of the field the screen was going as well. His blocks always worked and he broke it everytime. I was ticked.

why not go into dime....then take your extra corner on the offenses left side...run him to the opposite side..then on the snap get in position between vick and Jackson..and pick it for 6?

Did you try putting DEs in contain? That would have at least slowed him down from being able to rollout, and the other DE would help with the screen.

I tried blitzing the CB but he still found a way to get it out every time.

I tried those sorta things. I rarely ran dime because man to man coverage usually meant big gains for Vick. I will try that next time. Thanks for the advice. i wish I could go back to that game because it was the most pissed I have ever been, lol.

No, I did not try that. I should have though. I guess I was not getting to Vick regardless of what I brough so I should have just brought one or two guys on each play.

even in a regular formation... you could take your left side OLB and put him in the same spot while runnine a DE contain defense.. like RCS said.. the DEs would slow the rollout, you would leave a corner to contain vick on the outside. The other DE would stay home to make a tackle and the OLB would be sitting on the play.

Guarantee that if you pick it for 6 once he quits that crap...and thats probably all he has.

Against screens or guys who scramble with the QB a lot contain works really well. All the DEs do is stand there and wait for a play to come their way

A guy in my league does this with vick, I run the cover 3, put one of my DE's in contain, and cover the crossing routes with my other DE. Works decently well.
