C.J. Brewer waived from team

The San Francisco 49ers announced Monday that WR C.J. Brewer has been waived.

Brewer was originally signed by the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Wyoming in 2006. He spent the 2006 season on the practice squad and last season on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury during training camp.

I know this isnt big news, but what does this mean for out draft? Bringing in 1 or 2 new wide recievers? Or still go for something in free agency?

Really, he was an undrafted player who never once played for the team.

At most it means the team will sign another undrafted WR after the draft.

We couldn't release him until he recovered from his injury. Now we can sign another receiver for training camp and the practice squad.

And we're getting DESean Jackson OR James Hardy anyway. Brewer=R Woods or D Hamilton or the other lackey busts for WR.:down: We only kept him because he was injured and on IR for the year. He was going to be cut anyway, but maybe there's a rule that says an injured player can't get cut.
