He is certainly calling a more balanced WCO type game and it has certainly helped in all phases of effectivness.
May be a bit early but from the way it is looking (at least 2 games) Martz is looking like he can change when he's forced to.

I think S. Hill has helped by recognizing he doesn't have all day for a route to develop. I sure would like to incorporate VD more on low risk short stuff. If he does that, and we hang on to the ball, we win more games. At that point he can stay if he wants, I'll allow it.
You make a good point though, he has called safer, ball control games. |

I gotta say if he can keep doing what hes done the past 2 weeks (clock management aside) he just may very well save his job. And we may have our first OC to stick around for more then a year.
Unless Norv is fired.

If Hill was doing 7 step drops almost every play like JTO he would have been on injured reserved by the second week of the season. I truely believe it was mostly play calling and Singletary just regulated Martz and told him how he wanted his game called and to balance out the offensive scheme and it looks to be working.

Martz is a goner, and he knows it. He's trying to show he can cooperate with his boss for his his next gig. I would be surprised to see any of the three main coaches back here next year.

Imo today was a transitional game for martz...i think that he showed his capability to call plays in a run based offense that occasionally takes advantage of the deep ball...i was impressed by his playcalling and think that if sing can keep the boys intensity up while martz can develop his playcalling in this type of offense we will have a solid coaching staff in the future

there is no job to save. The problemw ith the team is getting rid of things that aren't really the problem.Martz has this offense a million times better than we were last year.We are putting up over 20 points a game and gore is 3rd in yards from scrimmage before this game....the problem is turnovers (out of martz hands),our defense, and our Qb situation
