Default starting to see nolans plan

Nolans putting the O together first giving the core players 1 or 2 learning curve ahead of the Defence. It looks like the offence is greatly impoved and everything on the side of the ball is taking shape with some bright new stars that will only get better. Our D is horrible with only a few bright spots here and their.Larson starting to show glimpes on what he can do and should be a impact player next year.Walt Harris has to be the biggest surprize of FA for the D.Looks alot younger than his age.I figure we'll see alot of new faces on D next year.probably are 2 starting safties will be else where between the draft and FA.I also look for them to pick a large mamouth D lineman throught FA or draft to free up are linebackers who are solid ,but not great. Also A pass rushing DE to turn on the heat.If we can some how generate a pass rush I think our NUm 1 and 2 Corners are solid, but we need to add some quality nickels guys to our rotation. But that all going to take place next year and hope nolan spend most of that thirty million dallors in cap space than we be ready to contend for the playoffs:sf49:

LOL. That was sooooooooooo good. Seriously hilarious.

I love how he solidified the O-line, which really helped Smith mature since he now has more than .000000256523255 sec to throw the ball. I love how he saved the D for last b/c that is his specialtly and he will make them great in a shorter amount of time so that the O and D peak at the same time. Go NOLAN.

To be honest this would seem brilliant if it weren't for the fact that it is entirely public knowledge. You're not discerning something impressive, it's the exact same plan that Nolan and McCloughan have expressed in interviews.

QBs don't develop into pro bowlers immediately. Rookie RBs are too weak in blocking assignments and either tend to miss running holes too much or run the right routes to be big impact players. WRs equally aren't up to snuff. Don't get me started on playing OL in the league. To make things short, plenty of QBs and WRs take 3+ years to reach their potential, 2+ for linemen and RBs. If you want to build an offense around youth, you'd better plan on taking 3 to 4 years to make it into a top 15 unit.

On the other hand, defense matures quickly. Rookie DL can dominate within 2 years, many LBs show their goods inside of their first 2 seasons. Safeties at worst need to show their stripes by the start of the 3rd season and even the slowest learning CB improves by year 2. Defensively a player needs to only to adjust to the speed of the game.

Thus it's easier to find some 1st day talent to step in and boost your defense 5-10 notches than it is to draft anyone and expect an offensive boost.

Nothing but defense next off-season. With a good #2 wr so that battle can return to being the slot man where he is more of a threat and can strecth the field and eat up the middle. The middle is where we should start with our defense.

I agree with Battle being better out of the slot but I think we should try and get a better #1 and move Bryant to #2. Just my preference though.
